Yoga for fertility

It is important that you take some time to understand how to fully relax your body and mind before you start your treatment so that you feel confident and ready to manage your stress levels. Stress reduction is an excellent way to boost fertility, and one of the best ways to de-stress is to exercise mindfully. Although excessive exercise is not recommended during IVF, there are ways you can keep your body fit and healthy while nurturing your mind at the same time.

Give this half-bridge pose a try for daily relaxation.

Half bridge pose

Lie back to the floor with knees bent, directly over heels. Place arms at sides, with palms down.

Exhale, and press the feet into the floor as you lift your hips on the in breath. Clasp your hands together on the mat, and lift hips even more, until your thighs are parallel to the floor.

Stay in this pose for 10 long breaths. Move out of the pose slowly, placing one vertebra after another back on the floor. Repeat.
